Gas generator manufacturer Peak Scientific has launched a new range of hydrogen, nitrogen, and zero air generators designed specifically for laboratories.
The new series, called Intura, is engineered for use with gas chromatography (GC) instruments. It offers flexible options for gas type, pressure, and flow rate, making it suitable for labs that need high-purity carrier and detector gases in limited space.
Dr. Ed Connor, Product Manager for GC at Peak Scientific, highlighted several improvements over previous models.
“Overall, we have significantly reduced the size and footprint of the generators while also lowering power consumption across the entire series,” he said.
The new line includes a redesigned catalytic (CAT) chamber and an improved pressure swing adsorption (PSA) dryer for hydrogen systems. Additionally, Peak has integrated its patented AirMax intake filter into the nitrogen and zero air units to boost performance.
Based on Peak’s existing Precision series—the company’s flagship GC gas solution—the Intura line was officially introduced at this year’s American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) conference.
