NTPC Group, India’s largest state-owned power producer, has officially begun commercial operations at its Nokh Solar Photovoltaic Project in Rajasthan. The project has an installed capacity of 193 megawatts (MW).
The company announced the milestone in a filing to the stock exchange, confirming that the plant was commissioned on Monday. With this addition, NTPC’s total installed power generation capacity has reached 80,708 MW.
NTPC, which operates under the Ministry of Power, continues to play a key role in strengthening India’s energy sector, particularly in renewable energy.
