The Don Bosco Polytechnic (DBTec) in Fort-Liberté, a vocational training center in north-eastern Haiti, has received a new 80-kilowatt generator donated by Missioni Don Bosco, the Salesian Mission Office based in Turin, Italy.
This donation comes at a crucial time, as the region faces frequent power outages and severe weather conditions. The new generator will allow the school to continue operating during heavy rain and storms, which often disrupt electricity supply.
The Salesians and students at DBTec expressed deep appreciation for the support. They highlighted that the donation will prevent interruptions in training workshops, ensuring that educational activities can go on without delay.
Due to the ongoing energy crisis in the area, the school had struggled with unreliable power. The new generator offers a much-needed solution, helping the Salesian community maintain its commitment to vocational education despite difficult circumstances.
