MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre) Events has announced its schedule for the rest of 2025. The summer season will start with its flagship conference, Robotics and Automation 2025: Powering Your Future. This well-known event will take place on June 17–18 at MTC’s advanced facility in Coventry.
Established in 2010, the MTC is a leading research and technology organisation focused on manufacturing innovation. Its conferences bring together experts, policy makers, and industry leaders. For its 2025 events programme, MTC Events has chosen London-based Cadence Industrial & Technical Communications as its official press engagement partner and press office for all events.
The 2025 calendar will focus on the UK’s growing strengths in robotics, new energy, digitalisation, and manufacturing. Key dates include:
- June 17–18: Robotics & Automation
- June 25: Armed Forces Celebration Day
- June 30: National Nuclear Manufacturing Conference
- October 22: Digital Manufacturing2Day
Mike Wilson, chief automation officer at MTC, said, “Global instability is increasing interest in reshoring manufacturing to strengthen supply chains. This year’s event will bring together innovators, experts, and users to explore new possibilities and encourage more UK investment in robot automation.”
Focus on Industrial Strategy
The highly anticipated Robotics and Automation 2025: Powering Your Future event is free to attend. It will feature a keynote speech by Dr Bernd Liepert, president of euRobotics AISBL, the European Robotics Association. He will discuss opportunities for the UK to expand its robotics market with Europe.
The Rt Hon Greg Clark, chair of the Warwick Manufacturing Group and a member of the Industrial Strategy Advisory Council, will also speak. This council helps shape the UK government’s long-term industrial strategy.

- The West Midlands Robotics and Automation (RAS) Cluster showcasing innovations and global collaboration opportunities
- Insights from The Workforce Foresighting Hub on automation readiness in the metalworking sector

This announcement of phase two of MTC Events’ 2025 schedule comes alongside news that MTC won the bid to host the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2027 in Birmingham. This will be done in partnership with the University of Birmingham and the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau.
