LG Electronics has introduced Pro:Centric+, the latest version of its Pro:Centric hotel TV platform. This new system transforms in-room TVs into valuable business tools. The company showcased Pro:Centric+ at HITEC 2025. The platform allows easy integration of third-party services and simplifies installation and management, requiring less technical skill.
Jake Benner, senior director of hospitality at LG Electronics North America, said, “With Pro:Centric+, the TV becomes more than just a screen. It changes the role of in-room TVs from simple guest amenities to key business infrastructure.” He added that the platform helps hotels lower operating costs, boost safety, and create new revenue streams by adding third-party services that are easy to install and manage.
Unlike other systems that run supervisory apps over traditional platforms, Pro:Centric+ allows multiple third-party services to run directly and smoothly within the system. After LG approves these services, they operate independently but work well together. This opens up new possibilities for improving efficiency, guest engagement, and cost savings.
Services that can be integrated include energy management, where the system adjusts room temperature based on occupancy to save energy; client-side advertising, which inserts ads into TV content for extra revenue; casting services like Google Cast and AirPlay; location tracking for assets like luggage and service carts; and WiFi monitoring to detect network issues in guest rooms early.
At HITEC 2025, LG demonstrated Pro:Centric+ working with Anacove and TraknProtect. Anacove offers AI-powered smart thermostats, leak detectors, asset tracking, and staff safety alert tags, all managed through a single interface linked to the hotel’s property management system. TraknProtect provides wearable safety buttons for staff who work alone, allowing them to send alerts when needed.
Benner explained, “Anacove’s AI solutions reduce energy waste and costs while enhancing safety and efficiency. TraknProtect’s safety buttons add a new layer of protection for hotel employees working alone. Both show how Pro:Centric+ can bring real benefits to hoteliers. We expect many more service providers to join the platform.”
The new Pro:Centric+ Web Management Interface removes the need for remote controls during setup. Hotel staff can now use smartphones or tablets to wirelessly configure devices, enter setup information, and perform maintenance without entering guest rooms.
Benner concluded, “We aim to be a long-term business partner for hotels. Pro:Centric+ makes in-room TVs smarter, better connected, and easier to manage. Our monetization programs also help hotels and brands increase profitability by creating new revenue streams.”
