Essentra Components, a global supplier of essential industrial parts, has introduced a new product line made entirely from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. The launch supports the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals by offering more sustainable solutions without sacrificing product performance.
PCR materials are made from items that consumers have used and discarded, such as plastic bottles, cardboard, and newspapers. Essentra’s new range includes parallel protection plugs, snap-fit plugs, face protectors, and various tube inserts—each made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.
The new components are designed to reduce landfill waste and require less energy to produce than traditional materials, helping to lower their carbon footprint. All products in the range are packaged in recyclable and sustainably sourced materials and are available for same-day dispatch.
Jennifer Spence, Essentra’s ESG Director, said the launch brings environmental and economic benefits.
“Essentra has ambitious ESG targets, and this new product range is a direct step toward reducing our carbon footprint and meeting our net-zero goals,” Spence said. “It also offers our customers a more sustainable and cost-effective option without compromising quality.”
She added that the company plans to expand the line.
“We’re committed to continuous innovation that supports both our customers and the planet,” she said. “Environmental responsibility is at the heart of what we do.”
