Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) has partnered with GAIL (India) Ltd to establish Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities at CONCOR’s terminals across the country.
The collaboration’s main goal is to ensure a reliable supply of LNG fuel to support CONCOR’s road transport operations. The first LNG station will be set up at CONCOR’s Khodiyar terminal in Ahmedabad. The two companies also plan to explore further cooperation in areas that will benefit both.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ahmed Wasi Khan, General Manager (P&S) at CONCOR, and Kapil Kumar Jain, Executive Director (Marketing-Retail LNG) at GAIL. The signing ceremony was attended by CONCOR Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Swarup, GAIL Director (Marketing) Sanjay Kumar, and other senior officials from both organizations.
