Murata Machinery USA, Inc. (Muratec USA), a top U.S. manufacturer of high-precision CNC turning machines and automation systems, has announced a new strategic partnership with Selway Machine Tool Company. The agreement strengthens Muratec’s presence on the West Coast, including in California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
Selway Machine Tool Company, founded in 1963, is a third-generation, family-run business. Known for its customized machining and automation solutions, Selway offers live demonstrations, technical expertise, and local service. The company has built strong relationships with manufacturers throughout the Western United States.
Muratec USA, the North American branch of Japan’s Murata Machinery Ltd., was established in 1974. The parent company, founded in Kyoto in 1935, is celebrating 90 years of innovation in 2025. Muratec USA is known for its automated turning centers, which help manufacturers improve part quality, reduce labor, and increase production speed.
Partnership Brings Advanced CNC Solutions to the West Coast
Under this new partnership, Selway will sell and support Muratec’s full range of CNC turning centers. These include the MW Series, single- and twin-spindle models, and machines with Y-axis live tooling. Many of these systems feature Muratec’s integrated gantry for automated part loading and unloading, which boosts productivity and reduces manual labor. Customers can choose to use these solutions as standalone machines or as part of a larger automation system.
