Rajratan Global Wire Limited (RGWL) has announced the approval of a new production line for wire ropes at its Pithampur facility. The company’s Board of Directors has sanctioned the installation of equipment that will convert the plant’s existing capacity for Black Wire into a new capacity for wire rope production.
This strategic move aims to expand RGWL’s product range by producing 10,000 TPA (tons per annum) of wire ropes, utilizing the plant’s current 12,000 TPA capacity for Black Wire. The total investment for this project is estimated at around ₹50 crore, which will be financed through a combination of debt and internal resources. The Pithampur plant is currently operating at nearly full capacity (95-100%) for Black Wire, making this expansion a timely response to market demand, according to the company’s filing with the stock exchanges.
In addition to the wire rope announcement, RGWL also released its audited financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. The company reported consolidated operational revenue of ₹93,525 lakh, an increase from ₹89,045 lakh in the previous fiscal year. However, the net profit for the year was ₹5,880 lakh, down from ₹7,184 lakh in FY 2023–24.
The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of 100%, equating to ₹2 per equity share, for the financial year 2024–25. This proposal is subject to approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), with the date to be announced in due course.
In another important decision, the Board approved the reappointment of Sanjeev Sood as an Independent Director for a second five-year term, beginning April 21, 2025, and lasting until April 20, 2030. Mr. Sood, who has more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing and leadership roles, is also on the boards of Birla Carbon (Thailand) Public Co. Ltd. and Aditya Birla Chemicals Thailand.
