Sheffield Forgemasters has announced an expanded recruitment drive for 2025, adding six more apprenticeship opportunities to the original 21. This expansion comes as part of the company’s ongoing £900 million investment, which includes the development of a new 13,000-tonne forging line and a state-of-the-art 30,000m² machining facility.
The recruitment initiative is the second phase of the company’s hiring efforts for 2025. Successful candidates will join Sheffield Forgemasters, a Ministry of Defence-owned company, and take part in its award-winning apprenticeship program, designed to help develop the next generation of skilled workers.
Emily Baldwin, People Development Advisor for Early Careers at Sheffield Forgemasters, commented: “This year, we’re offering some exciting new opportunities. Our early careers positions will close for applications on April 27. Additionally, we are expanding our graduate program by adding two new roles, one in continuous improvement and another in finance.”
Baldwin also shared that a new sales degree apprenticeship will soon be available. “The response to our apprenticeship and trainee roles has been fantastic, and we encourage potential applicants to stay updated on our careers page and apply as soon as possible,” she added.
