An engineer at Delta State Polytechnic has developed a generator that operates without fuel and can power household appliances for up to 21 hours.
The breakthrough invention was recently shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @Akinjoshua2017, who posted a video of the engineer demonstrating the device.
The engineer described the creation as an “electromechanical device,” which he explained as follows: “This is a fuel-less generator, 2.5KVA, capable of powering household appliances. It charges itself while in use and can run continuously for 21 hours. It’s mobile and doesn’t require fuel.”
The video shows the generator powering a refrigerator, television, and other household devices, highlighting its practical functionality.
The innovation has attracted widespread attention online, with many people praising its potential to address Nigeria’s ongoing challenges with high fuel costs and unstable power supply.
