Porsche Cars Canada is celebrating the grand opening of its first Porsche Experience Centre in Toronto with the release of a one-of-a-kind 911 GT3 RS. The custom-built vehicle is currently being auctioned through a sealed-bid sale hosted by RM Sotheby’s. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Campfire Circle, an Ontario-based charity that supports children with serious illnesses.
The auction opened on June 10 during the Experience Centre’s official launch event and will close on Canada Day, July 1.
This special edition GT3 RS was created in collaboration with Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (special request) division and renowned designer Grant Larson. It features a striking red-and-white exterior inspired by the Canadian flag. The car also includes a unique interior with custom “pepita” fabric.
Additional exclusive elements include the high-performance Weissach Package, a cowl cover signed by Larson, Andreas Preuninger, and Boris Apenbrink, a matching Chronograph 911 GT3 RS watch, and a detailed 1:18 scale model of the vehicle.
The car was first revealed to the public at the 2024 Canadian International Auto Show. It serves as a showcase of Porsche’s advanced personalization services and commemorates the significant opening of the new Experience Centre.
Porsche Cars Canada CEO Trevor Arthur described the project as more than just a design exercise. “This special vehicle was the realization of a dream,” he said.
With this initiative, Porsche combines craftsmanship, national pride, and philanthropy, offering collectors a rare chance to own a meaningful piece of Canadian automotive history.
