A 21-year-old man, Lawale Mohammed, was brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday. He is accused of stealing a generator radiator valued at N350,000.
Mohammed’s address was not provided. He faces charges of conspiracy and stealing. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Adeshina Folaranmi, told the court that the alleged crime happened on May 23, around 2 a.m., in the Podo area of Ibadan.
Inspector Folaranmi said that Mohammed, along with others who are still at large, climbed over the fence of 200 Stars Industrial Company in Podo. They reportedly took the company’s generator radiator.
The prosecutor said the actions violated Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate Oluwabusayo Osho granted bail to Mohammed. He must pay N200,000 and provide two reliable sureties who will each pay the same amount.
The case was adjourned until July 15 for further hearing.
