Sandvik Rock Processing has introduced a new program to help mining operations replace old spiderless and legacy hydrocone crushers with its latest Sandvik 800i series cone crushers.
The program offers special pricing, warranty support, ramp-up assistance, and access to advanced digital tools. These benefits aim to help customers lower their total cost of ownership while improving efficiency.
PC Kruger, Crushing Business Line Manager at Sandvik Rock Processing, explains, “Through the X-change program, customers can swap out outdated technology for our high-performing Sandvik 800i crushers at a special price. They also gain warranty support, ramp-up assistance, and access to Sandvik’s digital tools, leading to significant operational savings.”
Kruger adds that the new crushers can deliver up to 30% better availability and up to 25% more final product to downstream processes. This improvement is thanks to the 800i’s advanced automation and strong mechanical design.
The Sandvik 800i crushers come equipped with the ACS-c 5 automation system. This system enables fast liner calibration, which helps reduce downtime and increase productivity. It also offers role-based functions, guided alarm responses for operators, and access to real-time and historical data for better planning and performance tracking.
Designed with a direct-drive mechanism, the crusher reduces energy loss. It features a sturdy unibody structure and allows top-down maintenance for easier servicing. Other improvements include consistent liner performance chambers, multiple chamber profiles for different applications, double-sealed pinion shafts, and plastic-free fasteners on non-welded bottom shell liners.
The 800i series is suitable for many uses, such as three-stage crushing circuits, SAG/AG mill pebble crushing, heap leach operations, lump ore processing, and integration with high-pressure grinding roll systems. These crushers produce finer particles, which helps downstream processes work better and reduces energy use.
They are fully compatible with SAM by Sandvik, a cloud-based digital assistant that lets customers monitor equipment in real time, receive alerts, track performance, and order parts easily.
Kruger highlights that the X-change program is more than just an upgrade. It offers mining operations a strategic way to boost efficiency, cut energy costs, and extend the life of their equipment. With clear pricing, digital support, and dependable aftermarket services, the program presents a cost-effective way to modernize crushing circuits.
“Switching to the Sandvik 800i through our X-change program creates a structured path to improve safety, increase availability, and boost productivity in crushing operations,” Kruger concludes.
