LANG Technik UK has introduced the RoboTrex Compact Automation System. This new model joins two existing larger RoboTrex systems. The company developed the Compact version due to strong customer demand for a smaller option.
The RoboTrex systems are popular for loading and unloading unmanned machine tools. They help enable efficient lights-out production, where machines run without human supervision. Users choose RoboTrex systems because of growing competition, rising costs, the need to use machine tools more effectively, and a shortage of skilled workers.
The RoboTrex Compact is designed for unmanned production of small workpieces. It can handle parts up to 65 x 50 x 95 mm in size and weigh up to 7 kg. Its storage rack can hold up to 100 Makro•Grip micro vices. Despite this, the system only takes up 2 square meters of floor space, making it very space-efficient. By manually changing the grippers, the system can also hold larger vices from the Makro•Grip 77 series.
When using the larger vices, the RoboTrex Compact can store up to 50 of them.
The system offers several loading options, making it easy to connect to almost any machine tool. It is simple to operate and does not require special skills or extensive training. Like the larger RoboTrex models, the Compact is a plug-and-play solution. This means it can be installed quickly. It also provides a fast return on investment (ROI).
