Honda Power Sports & Products has announced the availability of its EU3200i and EU7000iS Super Quiet Series portable generators in California. These models now meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Phase 3 emissions standards and comply with California Air Resources Board (CARB) Tier 4 regulations.
California enforces some of the strictest emissions rules in the nation. To meet these standards, Honda made several design improvements. These include an evaporative emission control system, a redesigned fuel cap tether, and enhanced canister capacity. Together, these changes help lower harmful pollutants like nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, hydrocarbons, and sulfur emissions.
Features and Uses
The EU3200i and EU7000iS belong to Honda’s Super Quiet Series. They feature enclosed-body construction and inverter technology. This design reduces noise during operation and improves fuel efficiency. These generators are ideal for many uses, including home backup power, commercial work sites, recreational vehicles, and outdoor events.
Safety and Smart Monitoring
Both models come equipped with Honda’s CO-MINDER® system. This safety feature detects carbon monoxide near the generator. If dangerous levels build up, the system automatically shuts the generator off.
Additionally, the generators connect with the Honda My Generator Bluetooth® App. Users can monitor and control the units remotely via their smartphones within a 75-foot range. The app displays information such as power output, engine hours, oil life, fuel level, estimated run time, and maintenance alerts.
With these updates, Honda’s portable generators offer cleaner emissions, enhanced safety, and modern convenience for California customers.
