Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, has launched its latest innovation in home appliances: the AI-enabled Eon Velvet Side-by-Side Refrigerator. The new model blends intelligent technology with stylish design, aiming to meet the changing needs of today’s households.
The 600-litre refrigerator features artificial intelligence that automatically adjusts cooling and energy use. It does this by analyzing the amount of food stored and how often the door is opened. This helps keep food fresh for a longer time and saves electricity.
The refrigerator includes adaptive modes that respond to different usage patterns. For daily use, Eco Mode lowers energy consumption by optimizing temperature settings. During long periods of non-use, Holiday Mode reduces power draw while keeping items preserved. When rapid freezing is needed, Super Freeze Mode quickly cools the compartment. These smart modes offer flexibility and convenience for modern families.
A standout feature is the Smart Convertible Zone, which allows users to set the compartment temperature between -3°C and 5°C. This space can function as a freezer, chiller, or pantry based on the user’s needs. The refrigerator also includes an advanced inverter compressor for better energy efficiency, quieter operation, and longer durability.
A sleek digital touch panel on the front makes it easy to control settings. The appliance comes in two elegant finishes—Opera Rose and Opera Black—to complement modern kitchen interiors.

The Eon Velvet series provides flexible storage, advanced cooling, and a high-end look. With this launch and our wide product range, we aim to grow refrigerator sales by 25 to 30 percent this summer.”
Godrej & Boyce started refrigerator manufacturing in India in 1958. Over the years, the company has expanded its product range to include washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, deep freezers, dishwashers, medical refrigeration units, and air coolers.
The company continues to focus on sustainability. Its manufacturing units have received the Platinum Plus GreenCo certification, becoming the first in India to achieve this high standard.
Godrej also maintains a strong customer support network. It operates over 740 service centers and has more than 4,500 SmartBuddy technicians across the country.
