PURE EV, an Indian electric vehicle and energy storage company, has announced a strategic partnership with Charge Power Inc, a Canadian firm specializing in energy and EV infrastructure. The alliance will help PURE expand into the energy storage markets of the United States and Canada.
The two companies will work together to promote and distribute PURE’s energy storage systems across residential, commercial, and grid-scale markets. The products will be introduced under a co-branded approach, combining the strengths of both organizations.
PURE, known formally as Power Using Renewable Energy, said its product line includes advanced battery technology, strong power electronics, and modern manufacturing capabilities. Nishanth Dongari, Founder and Managing Director of PURE, stated that their products are designed for durability, reliability, and innovation—qualities he believes will appeal to customers in North America.
Charge Power Inc has completed over 4 GWh of energy storage projects across the region. The company offers services in engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), marketing, and sales. According to Dongari, the partnership will support PURE’s global growth strategy by using the regional expertise of Charge Power.
Ravi Pinnelli, Managing Director of Charge Power Inc, said PURE’s manufacturing capabilities are a strong match for Charge Power’s skills in project execution and client engagement. He added that the partnership will create value for customers in different segments.
As part of the agreement, PURE will maintain ownership of all its intellectual property related to its energy storage technologies. This ensures protection of its core innovations as the company grows internationally.
Charge Power Inc is also active in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector. It builds and manages EV charging stations for both fleet operators and individual users. The company focuses on fast charging, smart energy management, and remote monitoring. It is involved in multiple partnerships with municipalities, developers, and transportation firms to expand EV infrastructure in cities and suburban areas. Charge Power emphasizes sustainability and energy efficiency in all its operations.
PURE EV, based in India, is known for its electric two-wheelers such as scooters and motorcycles. The company was founded by alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad. It invests heavily in in-house research and development, especially in lithium-ion battery technology under its brand “PURE Lithium.” These batteries power its vehicles and are also used in energy storage systems. With a growing dealership network in India and plans for international markets, PURE is working to promote clean and affordable mobility.
