Volvo S90 Luxury Sedan Discontinued in India, Removed from Official Website

Volvo has officially discontinued its S90 luxury sedan in India. The model has been removed from the company’s Indian website, marking the end of Volvo’s sedan offerings in the country.

The last update to the S90 in India came in October 2021. It competed in the premium sedan segment against rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series.

The S90 was powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine that produced 250 horsepower. Key features included a 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, ventilated and massaging front seats, an ADAS safety suite, and air suspension.

Volvo assembled the S90 locally and priced it at ₹68.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Globally, Volvo has introduced a facelift version of the S90. In March 2025, the company also unveiled the all-electric ES90, which offers a range of up to 700 km and is powered by a 106kWh battery.
