Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH has launched the VIO 3n, a new generation of electrosurgical generators designed to meet the diverse needs of medical specialties and surgical procedures. This launch expands the VIO 3 family, marking a significant step forward in the company’s 100-year history of electrosurgery. Alongside the VIO 3n, Erbe has also introduced the VIO seal, a specialized generator for bipolar applications.
Five Configurations for Precise Surgical and Endoscopic Applications
The VIO 3n is available in five configurations—Fire, Water, Metal, Timber, and Stone—each designed for specific surgical and endoscopic needs. These configurations offer pre-programmed settings for CUT, COAG, and dissection, improving both efficiency and ease of use. Trusted Erbe modes such as endoCUT, preciseSECT, and pulsedAPC ensure reliable tissue effects across various medical fields. A new feature, endoCUT U, is specifically developed for “underwater” applications.
In addition to its precise tissue effect adjustment, the VIO 3n prioritizes user-friendliness. Its stepGUIDE interface simplifies navigation and provides real-time notifications, supporting surgical teams during procedures. The generator can also integrate with other Erbe units, such as APC 3 and IES 3, along with Erbe instruments and accessories, offering flexibility in various surgical environments.
VIO Seal: A Dedicated Solution for Bipolar Electrosurgery
The VIO seal is a dedicated solution for bipolar electrosurgical procedures. It works with TriSect rapide, BiClamp, and standard bipolar instruments. The VIO seal can function independently or be paired with the VIO 3n, as well as with older models like the VIO D and S series. One of its key features is digital instrument recognition, which ensures seamless integration into surgical workflows.
When used with another VIO generator, the VIO seal enables simultaneous bipolar activation, enhancing the flexibility of surgical procedures.
