Danfoss Power Solutions has launched the ET500, a new lightweight portable crimping machine designed to make hydraulic hose repairs faster and more efficient in the field. Weighing only 29 pounds, the ET500 is significantly lighter than other crimpers in its class, offering greater portability and ease of use for technicians.
The ET500 is now available in the Americas and is well-suited for a range of industries, including material handling, industrial maintenance, construction rental services, railway operations, and mining.
According to Danfoss, the ET500 is about 33% lighter than similar machines. This helps reduce physical strain on technicians who need to carry it to job sites, improving productivity and safety. The machine also exceeds industry standards for weight limits on portable tools, helping employers meet safety compliance with added peace of mind.
With a compact size of 13 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, the ET500 is easy to maneuver in tight spaces. This allows technicians to perform crimping tasks efficiently, even in confined work areas.
Barb Thompson, Product Manager at Danfoss Power Solutions, highlighted the key advantages of the device. “As the world’s lightest -12 hose crimper, our new ET500 offers unmatched portability and industry-leading safety, making it the perfect machine for technicians on the go,” she said.
“Despite its compact size, the ET500 delivers strong crimping performance,” Thompson added. “It ensures that hose assemblies are reliable every time.”
The ET500 is engineered to crimp braided hoses ranging from size -4 to -12, and spiral hoses from -6 to -10. It comes with a new placement tooling package and offers multiple pump kit options. Buyers can choose from a hand pump, air/hydraulic pump, 110-volt electric pump, 12-volt DC electric pump, or a 54-volt battery-powered pump, depending on their field requirements.
With its combination of portability, safety, and reliable performance, the ET500 is set to become a valuable tool for technicians across various sectors.
