ZF Wind Power Launches India’s Largest Gearbox and Powertrain Test Facility in Coimbatore

by sthv

ZF Wind Power, a division of the global technology company ZF Group, has launched a new 13.2 MW test rig in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This facility is now the largest of its kind in India and aims to meet critical technical demands in the wind energy sector.

The new test rig is designed to support the development and validation of advanced gearboxes and powertrains for wind turbines. It can simulate complex and changing field conditions, helping engineers ensure product durability and performance under real-world operating scenarios.
