Time Technoplast Ltd has received international certification from Bureau Veritas Services SAS, France, for its 150-litre Type IV hydrogen cylinder. This cylinder is a fully wrapped, fibre-reinforced, refillable composite design. With this approval, Time Technoplast becomes the only Indian company to hold certifications from both the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) and an international agency for this category of product.
The dual certification strengthens the company’s position in the growing global hydrogen storage market. It also supports India’s push for green energy and its export goals. The certification comes after nearly four years of in-house development, extensive testing, and continued research and development. The entire process was funded through the company’s own resources.
The approved hydrogen cylinder is designed for next-generation energy systems. It highlights Time Technoplast’s commitment to innovation, safety, and clean energy storage solutions. This achievement also supports national efforts such as the “Make in India” initiative and the country’s roadmap for a hydrogen-powered economy.
Industry forecasts, cited from GlobeNewswire, predict that the global market for composite hydrogen cylinders will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.2%. The market is expected to expand from USD 1.125 billion in 2024 to around USD 4.4 billion by 2036. This growth provides a major opportunity for Time Technoplast to meet rising demand worldwide.
The company noted that this certification proves the strength and reliability of its composite technology. It also expands its product range in the clean energy sector. With this recognition, Time Technoplast aims to serve both domestic and international markets more effectively.
