Sole Source Capital, a private equity firm focused on industrial investments, has announced that its portfolio company, Peak Technologies, has acquired Automation Intelligence. This acquisition is Peak Technologies’ 18th since being purchased by Sole Source Capital in 2021. The move enhances Peak Technologies’ offerings in robotics and machine vision, further strengthening its digital supply chain solutions.
Founded in 2016 and based in Flint, Michigan, Automation Intelligence specializes in designing and implementing advanced robotics and machine vision systems, primarily for the manufacturing industry. The company offers a wide range of services, including automated bin picking, 3D vision-guided robotics, inspection, automated assembly, material handling, palletizing, depalletizing, and robotic arm configurations for assembly lines. The current management team at Automation Intelligence will continue in their roles after the acquisition.
