In response to severe damage inflicted on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure by Russian strikes, France has dispatched 41 power generators to the cities of Kharkiv and Chernihiv. The announcement was made by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on [date].
The ongoing shelling by Russian forces has significantly crippled Ukraine’s ability to produce and distribute electricity, prompting the implementation of rolling blackouts since mid-May, which have intensified in recent days.
Russia’s intensified attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, particularly its energy grid, have sparked a renewed humanitarian crisis. International support, including financial, technical, and material aid from countries like France, aims to assist Ukraine in repairing its energy facilities and ensuring essential power supply to its population.
Additionally, Ukraine has received 5,876 solar panels through an agreement with the European Commission, aimed at powering hospitals across the country, as announced by Ukraine’s Energy Ministry on social media on July 2.
