LG Electronics has introduced a new 40-inch curved monitor designed for business users. The UltraFine 40WT95UF aims to serve professionals in finance, IT, and other data-heavy fields.
The monitor offers a high resolution of 5120 by 2160 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is the first display to support the latest Thunderbolt 5 port.
The screen uses an IPS Black panel that delivers a contrast ratio of 2000:1. It can reach a brightness level of 450 nits and holds a DisplayHDR 600 certification. The monitor covers between 95% and 99% of the DCI-P3 color range and responds within 5 milliseconds.
The UltraFine 40WT95UF has a refresh rate of 120Hz and supports AMD FreeSync Premium. These features help keep visuals smooth, making the monitor suitable for data analysis and visual content work.
This monitor provides a larger digital workspace, ideal for handling big datasets or running several applications at once. It includes Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, which let users view multiple inputs on the same screen without needing a second monitor.
LG says this will help financial analysts by allowing them to view dashboards and charts side by side. IT professionals can also use it to better manage code, timelines, and development environments.
Connectivity options are extensive. The monitor includes two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, one USB-C upstream port, four USB-C 3.2 downstream ports, two USB-A 3.2 downstream ports, an RJ45 network port, and a headphone jack.
Thunderbolt 5 supports data transfer speeds up to 80Gbps and can deliver 96 watts of power. It also supports daisy-chaining, which reduces cable clutter and simplifies device setups.
YS Lee, head of IT Business at LG’s Media Entertainment Solution Company, said, “LG is committed to developing advanced displays and IT solutions that meet the changing needs of enterprise customers. We will continue to provide leading monitors designed for each industry’s unique demands, along with a variety of IT products that help improve productivity.”
