Aurrigo International plc, a leading UK provider of transport technology solutions, has announced a 34% increase in revenue. The company now has 10 autonomous vehicles operating in various locations worldwide.
During the last financial year, Aurrigo’s sales reached £8.9 million. This growth was supported by new commercial agreements with airports. These agreements involve deploying Aurrigo’s digital simulation platform, Auto-Sim, and its Auto-DollyTug electric vehicle. The Auto-DollyTug is used to move luggage and cargo around airport terminals.
The company’s autonomous division was the main driver of growth in 2024, with a 433% increase. At the same time, Aurrigo continued to perform well in the automotive sector. It supplies precision components and wiring harnesses to many car manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.
These positive results give Aurrigo a strong base to continue developing its technology. The company plans to expand further in aviation. Its goal is to help airlines, airports, and ground handling operators improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the customer experience.
David Keene, CEO of Aurrigo International, said: “2024 was a year of real progress, with significant revenue growth in our autonomous division. More people are recognizing the benefits of autonomous technology for airside operations. This is helping our business grow and strengthens our long-term outlook. Our product and commercial teams have worked hard to expand our customer base and improve our product range. With our early market presence, growing proof points, and industry support, our ability to reach the market is stronger than ever.”
Proven Technology and New Partnerships
Aurrigo has made further progress in the new financial year. Aviation Solutions B.V is the latest partner to approve Auto-DollyTug® and Auto-Sim® for use across its network of over 60 airports. Testing and validation are currently underway at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The company is now focused on commercializing this proven technology for airports worldwide.
In April, Aurrigo unveiled Auto-Cargo in Coventry. This is its largest autonomous vehicle to date. Auto-Cargo can carry a payload of up to 16,500kg. It uses advanced automation, obstacle detection, and real-time fleet coordination to improve performance on the ground.
Supported by funding from Innovate UK and the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Auto-Cargo’s next mission will be to transport heavy cargo at UPS’ hub at East Midlands Airport, the UK’s second largest cargo terminal.
Mr. Keene added: “Aurrigo has a first-mover advantage in intelligent Ground Support Equipment (iGSE). Combined with our wide range of technologies and proven success at seven airports globally, we are well placed to seize opportunities in this growing market.”
