Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced on Sunday the launch of its new 2025 AI-powered washing machines. These machines come with smart features designed to enhance washing quality and boost energy efficiency.
The new series uses multiple artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. These technologies help improve washing results while saving water and energy. They also reduce noise and vibration during operation.
One key feature, called AI Custom Wash, automatically adjusts water levels and rinse time. It does this based on the weight and type of clothes, ensuring a cleaner and gentler wash.
The machine can measure laundry weight across 10 levels to control how much water is used. It can also recognize three types of clothes: delicate fabrics, towels, and regular clothes. This helps the machine adjust rinse time and washing intensity accordingly.
Another important feature is the AI vibration and noise reduction system. It detects the hardness of the floor where the machine is placed and reduces vibration by up to 33%. This makes the washing process much quieter.
The washing machine supports Wi-Fi connectivity and works with Samsung’s SmartThings app. When users activate the AI Energy Saving Mode via SmartThings, the machine can cut energy use by up to 20%.
Additional features include AI Programme Sync, which suggests a drying cycle that matches the washing programme. Users can also download extra programmes for custom wash settings tailored to seven different clothing types.
